About the course

B.Sc. in Forestry is a 4-year full-time undergraduate course divided into 8 semesters. The primary aim of the program is to train students in Forestry. The duties of forestry professionals include:

  • conserving forest and forest resources
  • managing forest resources
  • conserving and protecting wildlife
  • developing forest and forest resources
  • maintaining awareness of latest technology used in the field of Forestry.

Students enrolled to the course are taught:

  • ethics, values and morals related to the field of forestry.
  • how decisions are made with regard to water resource issues, land conservation, and soil erosion.

Eligibility

  • 10+2 in the Science stream, completed from a recognized educational Board. A minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the level of graduation. Candidates appearing in their final 10+2 exams are also eligible to apply for the course on provisional basis..
